Forbes named Asheville one of the ‘15 coolest places to go in 2018’ (making it the only US city to make the list) as well as Lonely Planet’s #1 destination in 2017. Asheville is a playground for emerging adults in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you like live music, international cuisine, coffee houses, funky shops, art galleries, independent bookstores, organic markets, biking, climbing, yoga, rafting, kayaking, canoeing (the list goes on), then there is plenty for you to do here.
Along with the thriving culture, Asheville also offers a wide array of post-secondary education opportunities, which contributes to our living assistance for young adults, and helps to further cultivate your opportunities for growth. The University of North Carolina Asheville, Asheville-Buncombe Technical College, Warren Wilson College, and Mars Hill College are all within 25 minutes of downtown Asheville.
Between the universities and a strong job market, there are plentiful opportunities to start a career path in Asheville, helping our transitional program for young adults provide you chances to participate in the real world.
